Peter Duff 1928-2021

Peter Duff 1928-2021 It is with the greatest regret that I have to report that Peter Duff, one of the club's greatest stalwarts, has died. Peter joined Liverpool Victoria just after the Second World War, having previously been a member of Wallasey School Boat Club. He was Club Captain in 1953 and 1954, made a Life Member in 1970 and served as a ... More

Summer 2021 Newsletter

This strange year continues...we had hoped to be training and racing normally by now. However, regattas are being planned for but cancelled every week. With most of the North West under a 'travel minimisation' restriction, going to events is very difficult. The club has managed to send crews to the National Schools Regatta but that was before the ... More

Following his performance at the British Indoor Rowing Championships, Flynn Jones has been invited to submit a 2k ergometer time to the World Indoor Rowing Championships on 27th February 2021. Flynn has already improved on his 06:30 time that he submitted to the British Indoors and hopes to step up again. I'm sure that everyone in the club wishes him well ... More

Newsletter March – Junior camps – Half Term October 2020

On a breezy Saturday morning, a mixed crew of juniors put the boat through its ... More

Newsletter March – Cancellation of Merseyside Regatta – Saturday 2nd May 2020

It is with great regret that Liverpool Victoria Rowing Club announces that Merseyside Regatta, due to be held on Saturday 2nd May 2020, will not now go ahead on that day. Like every other rowing club in the country, we have had to stop all rowing and training activity at the boathouse until the Coronavirus outbreak is over. Club members are continuing to ... More

Head of the Float Saturday 30th November 2019

The club held its annual Head of the Float on Saturday 30th November. Perhaps as a result of many other events in the North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire being cancelled due to river conditions, we had an almost full entry of 91 crews. Apart from North West club entries from Royal Chester, Grosvenor, Hollingworth Lake, Northwich, Trentham and Warrin... More
