Good News! Grant Approved

In the midst of the very difficult conditions imposed on us all by the Coronavirus pandemic, Liverpool Victoria Rowing Club has some very good news at the beginning of April. The Rowing Foundation (a charitable foundation that principally supports junior club rowing and rowing for the disabled in the UK) has generously granted the Club a significant sum of money in support of a project to convert the eight ‘Olympic Gold’ to an Octuple sculling boat, to be used by the younger juniors in the Club. Club members have pledged to provide the remaining 50% of the cost of new sculling riggers and a loudspeaker system for the boat. It will provide a greater range of experience for the younger, junior members of the Club and enable Lesley Kuguloglu and the Junior Team to get more juniors on the water. If any Club member has not yet pledged any money and wishes to, please contact the Assistant Treasurer, Hazel Russell.
