Vics Rowers Shine at Runcorn Explore Event

On Sunday 21st May, a team of seven rowers from Vics participated in the Runcorn Explore event, a friendly and fun competition for novice and experienced rowers alike. The team consisted of four men, two women and Heather as cox. For two of them, it was their first time racing in an Explore event.

The team competed in four races, winning two and losing two by a narrow margin. They showed great teamwork, skill and enthusiasm throughout the day. They also enjoyed the sunny weather and the hospitality of Runcorn RC, who provided delicious bacon butties and cake for all the participants. The other teams from Northwest clubs were also very sporting and friendly.

Vics are proud of their rowers for their performance and their spirit. They are looking forward to the next Explore event and helping new rowers to gain their first experiences at racing
