Take the M53 to Chester and having passed junction 12 leave the dual
carriageway – towards Whitchurch (A41)

At Whitchurch take the bypass towards Shrewsbury. Re-join the A41 and then shortly afterwards turn right at the roundabout onto the A49.

On the outskirts of Shrewsbury take the A5112 and then the A5191 towards the City Centre.

Keep going until you pass underneath the low and wide railway bridge. Take the right hand lane under the bridge and turn right at the lights.

After the lights take the left lane and continue along the side of the river. At the lights turn right onto a bridge over the Severn.

At the next roundabout take the first exit and then bear left immediately towards Porthill (quite a narrow road at first ).
Go past the trailer entrance to the regatta ground and up the hill. Turn left at the roundabout and then left into Kennedy Road.

Follow this road round to the regatta ground (gate into a field at bottom of dip)
